Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was an influential figure in India’s struggle for independence from British rule. He was born on 23rd January in 1897. He was initially a member of the Indian National Congress, but later split from the party due to differences in ideology. Bose went on to form the Forward Bloc, a coalition of anti-British forces, and worked tirelessly to unite all those who sought independence for India. He passed the ICS exam but did not accept government service under the foreign rulers. He was the supreme commander of the ‘Azad Hind Fouz’ and fought against the British. Despite his significant contributions to the independence movement, the exact circumstances of his death remain shrouded in mystery to this day. Some believe he died in a plane crash, while others speculate that he lived out his life in hiding in India or abroad. Regardless of the truth, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose will always be remembered as a leader who dedicated his life to the cause of Indian independence.
