The name of our village is Nandanpur. It is a small quiet village in the district of Jalpaiguri. It is about two square kilometres. A metalled road runs by the side of it and buses and lorries run on the road. There is a large green mustard field around our village. The population of our village is about 1000. Most of them are farmers and fishermen. There are government job holders too. The Teesta river passes through our village. A daily market is held in the evening in the market place where we buy all our necessary things. We have also a Primary School, a High School, and a Post Office in our village. But the special attraction of the village is Rathjatra that is held every year in our village. I am very proud of our village.
